Mitchell Shire Youth Mural

Last week our Blender Youth team headed out to Broadford for the final days of a 5 week Street Art Mentoring program we facilitated for a group of 15 young people.

The program included guest workshops across a variety of street art mediums including stencils, freehand, typography, illustration and design. These workshops, delivered by a number of high profile Melbourne based street artists, allowed the young people to learn the skills and develop their own artistic styles to enable them to produce a huge mural at the end of the program.

Our youth facilitators stayed out at Broadford last week to help the young people install the mural onto their community youth centre! So not only do these young people have a new set of skills (and hopefully inspiration!) but the community also has a fabulous new mural.
