Monash Freeway Upgrade Mural

The Blender team recently erected a huge 50-metre mural featuring designs inspired by the artworks of local children from Berwick Lodge Primary School. The mural spans below the Sweeney Drive bridge and features designs that explore the themes of community, connection, transport and progress – as well as the school’s emblem, the helmeted honeyeater. The mural was implemented in an attempt to brighten the otherwise grey concrete mass and deter taggers beneath Monash Freeway.

Artists involved: Luke Rion (design), Adrian Doyle, Hugo Mathias, Chris Hancock, Frosk & James Higgins.
